Bartender Conduct & Safety Policy: Right to Leave Due to Guest Behavior

Purpose:
To ensure the safety, well-being, and professional dignity of our bartenders and staff during events, we reserve the right to withdraw our services in the event of inappropriate or unsafe guest behavior.

Policy Statement:
Our bartenders and event staff are committed to providing high-quality, professional service in a safe and respectful environment. However, in the event that guests become rude, aggressive, threatening, or excessively rowdy, our staff have the right to suspend service and/or leave the event.

Triggers for Suspension or Departure Include (but are not limited to):

  • Verbal abuse, harassment, or discriminatory remarks.
  • Physical intimidation or assault.
  • Over-intoxicated guests refusing service or causing disruptions.
  • Unsafe crowd behavior or lack of effective event security.
  • Host or event organizer failure to address escalating issues after being notified.

Procedure:

  • Bartenders will notify the event host or point of contact of inappropriate behavior.
  • If the issue is not addressed promptly or the situation escalates, bartenders may cease service and safely exit the event.
  • An incident report may be filed following the event.
  • No refunds will be issued for the remaining contracted time if departure is due to guest misconduct

No Shots Policy for Alcohol Service

Purpose:
To ensure the safety and well-being of all guests and staff by promoting responsible alcohol consumption during the event.

Policy Statement:
To promote responsible alcohol service and reduce the risk of overconsumption, bartenders and alcohol service staff are not permitted to pour or serve shots of liquor. This includes serving spirits or high-proof alcohol intended to be consumed in a single swallow, regardless of how it is requested or presented.

Exceptions:
None. This is a zero-tolerance policy and applies to all guests and staff.

Bartender Staffing Policy

Purpose:
To ensure efficient and responsible alcohol service at all events by maintaining appropriate bartender-to-guest ratios.

Policy Statement:
For any event where the estimated guest count exceeds 75 attendees, a minimum of two bartenders is required. This policy is designed to ensure timely service, maintain guest satisfaction, and uphold responsible beverage service standards.
